Low cost, long term housing from Waminda
Waminda provides low cost accommodation in conjunction with the State's Community Housing initiative. Eligibility to access any of this housing includes meeting the requirements of Community Housing as well as our specific criteria as a disability service provider. The accommodation is long term so vacancies are not common - some tenants have been with us for 15 or more years. When a unit does become vacant we notify Community Housing and up to three eligible applicants listed with them are referred to us. We then have the task of selecting a tenant, based on the relative need of each applicant. |
How rents are set Rent, as with all Community Housing, is based on household income and is determined by Waminda Services using the Community Housing Rent Calculator. A rent review is conducted every 12 months and proof of income is essential in all cases. |

The accommodation Waminda has a total of 11 independent living units located in Dalby. We also have a fully supported group home that can accommodate up to six individuals. A staff member is on site providing 24/7 support. |
