Quality record The Federal Quality Assurance system started in 2004 and Waminda Services Limited has continually maintained accreditation. The State system commenced in 2008 and Waminda achieved accreditation with its first assessment. This is a very visible part of our commitment to continually improving service delivery for people with a disability needing the supports that we provide in our community. |
Quality standards
Both State and Federal Governments have established Quality Assurance standards which Waminda has to meet in order to receive funding. This involves a strict regime of audits and accreditation for each of the respective Quality Assurance systems. While this process has added workload to our staff, the results of performing well against these standards have enhanced our day-to-day caring and program activities. Under the Federal system there are 12 standards, and there are 10 standards under the State system. Both require a full assessment every three years and a partial surveillance audit each 12 months between the full assessments. Federal Government standards require service providers to ensure:
